El motivo de la sustitución fue la presencia de diversas fugas en las juntas Gibault debido a los hundimientos diferenciales del terreno.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Algunas de las limitantes de este proyecto fueron: &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;Cortar el abasto de agua a aproximadamente 13,000 personas y cuatro escuelas.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;Acceso nulo a maquinaria. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;Existencia de 4 instalaciones que interferían con las excavaciones y de las cuáles no existían planos. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;Antigüedad de la instalación existente y por lo tanto de su tornillería, la cuál tuvo que ser retirada mediante corte con discos de 7” y oxicorte.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;Tiempo de ejecución.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;Debido a la antigüedad de las conexiones (más de 40 años), hubo la necesidad de fabricar piezas especiales para acoplarlas a la instalación existente.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;La instalación permaneció en funcionamiento (saturada de agua) durante los preliminares, por lo que las constantes vibraciones en el tubo hicieron necesario el apuntalamiento provisional del mismo para evitar fugas causadas por el movimiento. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;p align="justify"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;Se propuso la tubería de PVC por su sistema de liga en conexiones, indicado para instalaciones que presentan ciertos movimientos, en este caso los hundimientos.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="center"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;p align="center"&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5470199282373667330" style="DISPLAY: block;
